Privacy policy

What information FundingFrame collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have over it.

Version v1, last updated 7 September 2026

Who we are

FundingFrame ("we", "us") operates the website at https://fundingframe.co.uk and the funding checker on it. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

FundingFrame is an introducer of commercial finance enquiries. We are not a lender, we do not make lending decisions and we do not give advice.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: what you tell us, what your device tells us, and what we infer from your use of the site.

  • Information you provide in the funding checker: your name, email address and telephone number, details of the finance you are looking for, the property involved, the borrower entity and your preferred contact method and time.
  • Information you provide when you contact us by email.
  • Technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the link or campaign that brought you to the site, where you have consented to analytics or advertising cookies.
  • Consent records: the version of this policy and the referral consent wording you agreed to, and when.

How we use your information and our lawful basis

We use the information you give us for the following purposes.

  • To review your enquiry and structure it into a Deal Snapshot. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in operating an introduction service.
  • To introduce your enquiry to our commercial finance partner so that a specialist can contact you. Lawful basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the referral consent box.
  • To send you a confirmation of your enquiry and any follow-up about it. Lawful basis: legitimate interest and, for service messages, performance of the pre-contractual steps you have requested.
  • To send you commercial property and finance updates. Lawful basis: your consent, which is optional and can be withdrawn at any time.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it. Lawful basis: your consent to analytics cookies.
  • To keep records for compliance, dispute resolution and to protect against fraud and misuse. Lawful basis: legitimate interest and legal obligation.

Referral to our finance partner

If you consent, we share the information you provide in the funding checker with our commercial finance partner so that a specialist can contact you about your enquiry. The partner is a separate organisation and acts as an independent data controller for the information once it has been passed to them. Their own privacy notice will explain how they use it.

We will not share your enquiry with the partner unless you have ticked the referral consent box. We do not share your information with any other lender, broker or third party for their own marketing purposes, and we do not sell personal data.

FundingFrame may receive a fee from the partner if an introduced enquiry results in a completed facility. This does not affect the cost of any finance arranged.

Analytics and advertising

With your consent we use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site, and advertising measurement tools to understand which campaigns bring people to it. These tools may set cookies or use similar technologies. You can change your choices at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer. Our cookie policy lists the categories we use.

We record the campaign, source and medium that brought you to the site, in a first-party cookie, so that we can attribute enquiries to marketing activity. This is separate from any third-party advertising tools.

Marketing consent

When you submit an enquiry you can choose whether to receive FundingFrame's commercial property and finance updates. This is optional. Every message we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by using that link or by emailing us.

Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect your enquiry or any referral you have already consented to.

Service providers we use

We use third-party providers to host the website and database, send email, protect the site against automated abuse, and monitor errors. These providers process information on our behalf under contract and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Some providers may process data outside the United Kingdom; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to operate the introduction, to reconcile any fee due from our partner and to deal with any queries or complaints, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Consent records are kept for as long as we hold the related enquiry. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.

Where a legal or regulatory obligation requires us to keep information for longer, we will do so for that period only.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the following rights over the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of them, email us at the address below. We will respond within one month.

  • Access: ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your information where we no longer have a reason to keep it.
  • Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your information in certain circumstances.
  • Portability: ask for information you have provided to us in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent: withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it.
  • Complain: raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information. We would welcome the chance to address your concern first.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls and restricted access to the internal review tools. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and you should take care when sending information by email.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version and date at the top of the page show when it was last changed. The version you agreed to when you submitted an enquiry is recorded against that enquiry.

How to contact us

Questions about this policy, or requests to exercise your rights, should be sent to [email protected]. Please include enough detail for us to identify your enquiry.
